    Responsibilities

    • Provide back-up to Vice President of Finance in all accounting and finance functions.
    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance department, including accounts payables and receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, capital assets reconciliation, fixed assets activity
    • Supervises work of Accountant, Accounting Assistant and Subrogation Coordinator
    • Review and approve journal entries prepared by Finance staff of TPA staff
    • Ensures all the rents and CAM billings to the tenants are timely and accurately completed
    • Ensure all rates are properly updated for the calculation of the capitated payments
    • Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and accounts properly reconciled for UHH LV, the LLCs handled by Las Vegas, as well as St. Louis Square, Inc. and Nellis-Stewart, Inc.
    • Ensure all intercompany billings and payments are timely completed
    • Ensure all account reconciliations are completed timely each month
    • Prepare monthly financial statements for all LLCs managed by Las Vegas, as well as St. Louis Square, Inc. and Nellis-Stewart, Inc.
    • Prepare budget variance explanation for review with Vice President of Finance
    • Assists Vice President of Finance in the budget process
    • Prepare and provide information for external auditors
    • Ensures compliance with the financial procedures of the Fund
    • Works with subrogation coordinator to prioritize work on various cases
    • Reviews subrogation monthly reports to ensure they are properly reconciled

    • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job

    Qualifications

    Years of Experience and Knowledge

    • 7 ~ 10 years of direct experience minimum
    • 2 ~ 3 years of supervisor experience required
    • Experience with performing General Ledger, posting journal entries, preparation of financial statements, accounts payable and other accounting functions
    • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Prior experience with subrogation or paralegal experience a plus
    • Considerable knowledge/experience in the majority of the following areas: function and people management, payroll, accounts payable, preparation of G/L & financial statements, preparation & reconciliation of operating budgets and design of management reports
    • Working knowledge of financial and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems with corresponding analysis tools required including excel to ensure independent systems operate seamlessly and at an optimum level
    • Knowledge of purchasing, property management, the RFP/RFI process a plus
    • Knowledge of the financial aspects related to employee benefits, i.e., pension, 401(k), Section 125, etc. a plus 

    Education, Licenses, and Certifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required
    • Preferred: Master’s degree in related field
    • Preferred: Certification CPA

    Skills and Abilities

    • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
    • Professional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (Excellent written/verbal)
