    Responsibilities

    The Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Pediatrics) is licensed to practice medicine and provides primary care for patients, commensurate with training and experience, in an outpatient and possibly inpatient setting.  The Physician (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Pediatrics) diagnoses, evaluates, treats and/or provides proper referrals to his/her assigned panel of patients while maintaining expected medical standards in an ambulatory care clinical environment.   Within this care environment, the Physician is responsible for acting as the Care Team Leader.  Delivers care to a multicultural, multilingual patient population.

     

    Performs professional primary care services in a medical center setting. Responsible for the delivery of high quality, evidence based care using a patient centered approach. When necessary, participates in a call schedule.

    The Physician works as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team, collaborating with other members of the team to provide Primary Care to our patients. The physician is expected to demonstrate advanced competencies and skills in assessing the physical and psychosocial status of patients and family members, play an active role in the multi-disciplinary health care team, promote preventive health measures, manage the acute and chronic conditions of his/her assigned panel of patients and those patients assigned to other team members when circumstances require.

    Qualifications

    LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Valid License by State of Nevada to practice medicine;

    • State of Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications; DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Credentialing in the Culinary network.
    • Some positions may require one or more of the following certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Must be Board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and have graduated from an accredited school of medicine      

    KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

    • Two (2) years clinical practice experience required for the position.
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.): Beginner: Required / Intermediate: Preferred
    • Bilingual: Spanish: Highly Desired
